Creamy Quinoa and Hemp Seed Porridge

  • 3/4 cup quinoa flakes
  • 1 cup homemade hemp seed milk (see link below)
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp goji berries (optional)

To serve

  • 1 cup berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp almond butter (or any nut butter)
  • 2 tbsp coconut shavings
  • 2 tbsp new hemisphere™ Hemp Seed Hulled


  • Combine the quinoa flakes, hemp seed milk, water, maple syrup, sea salt, cinnamon, ginger, and goji berries (optional) in a small saucepan.
  • Bring to the boil over a medium-high heat then reduce to a gentle simmer.
  • Cook for a further three minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more water if you wish for a thinner consistency.
  • Place berries in a small saucepan with a splash of water. Heat gently until bubbling then place aside. Add the chia seeds and let the mixture sit for five minutes to thicken.
  • To serve, divide between two bowls and top with the nut butter, berry mixture, coconut shavings, and new hemisphere™ Hemp Seed Hulled.
