Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Make a well
Melt butter and golden syrup on a low heat. Add dissolved baking soda and boiling water. Add wet mixture (in well) to the dry ingredients and mix together gently
Roll a tablespoon of mixture into a ball and place on a lined oven tray. Repeat with remaining mixture, placing evenly apart so the biscuits have room to spread. Flatten with a fork
Bake for 12-16 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 10 minutes before removing from tray to a cooling rack
