Hemp Chicken Hamburgers

Adding some crunch with a seeded crust on the chicken pattie!

Ingredients
  

Seeded Crust

  • 1/2 cup new hemisphere™ Hemp Seed Hulled
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • cracked pepper
  • 2 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 thinly sliced skinless chicken breasts

Fillings

  • 2 hamburger buns
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • lettuce of your choice
  • caramelized onions
  • 2 cheese slices
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to Fan Bake 180°C and line a baking dish with tin foil or non-stick baking paper.
  • Place the new hemisphere™ Hemp Seed Hulled, sea salt, cracked pepper, fresh parsley, and paprika in a high-speed blender like a NutriBullet and pulse a few times.
  • Spread the flour onto a large plate, and in another bowl beat the egg.
  • Coat one chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess then dip into the beaten egg. Let the excess drip off. Then coat the chicken in the hemp seed mixture. Place on a clean plate and repeat with the other chicken breast. Place the coated chicken breasts in the lined baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden brown. You can crisp up the crust by grilling for a few minutes. Keep warm in the warmer drawer of the oven.
  • Preheat oven on Grill function. Line oven tray with non-stick baking paper. Grill hamburgers buns.
  • Build your hamburger with the fillings listed above or those of your own choice.
